Find out how Global Composites’ advisory service in European Fund management can help your company to access sustainability grants and funding from the first recyclable resin system EzCiclo♻️.
At Global Composites, as experts in providing solutions for industries such as nautical, chemical, railway and construction, we believe that the biggest challenge for the sector is to be more sustainable, which is why we have always been committed to what we consider to be Swancor’s greatest leap in technological innovation, the first 100% recyclable thermosetting resin system, EzCiclo ♻️.
Swancor, whose values are quality, integrity, innovation and diligence, is committed to being a responsible company that contributes to environmental protection and safety, making it a global brand that stands for sustainability. Thus, this company, of which Global Composites is the official distributor in most of Europe and North Africa, provides quality products and services that seek to offer the possibility of a cleaner future for all.
Sustainability in the composites sector
The biggest global challenge for composite materials is their complexity when it comes to recycling. Disposing of products such as wind blades has become a major problem worldwide. It is expected to increase from 400,000 tonnes to 2 million tonnes of such waste by 2050.
Wind Europe has already announced that, as of 2025, the landfilling of waste from such products will be banned, and the European Commission has therefore launched the ‘Circular Economy Law’.
What are the European Sustainability Funds?
The European Sustainability Funds are financial resources provided by the European Union with the aim of promoting sustainable development and the transition to a green economy. These funds aim to support projects that contribute to environmental protection, energy efficiency and sustainable innovation.
European Funds include access to finance for improvements in business competitiveness and significant contributions to carbon footprint reduction. Many companies have already succeeded in transforming their operations towards greener models thanks to the support of these funds, making them more competitive in the short and medium term.
– Programa LIFE: EU instrument dedicated to climate action and the environment. LIFE is currently being developed as part of the EU’s multiannual financial framework for the period 2021-2027.
– Next Generation EU: At Global Composites we provide companies, organisations and administrations with the opportunity to take advantage of European funds for recovery.

EzCiclo♻️ & CleaVER guaranteeing more sustainable projects
In response to this need, Global Composites, together with Swancor, offers the EzCiclo + CleaVER solution.
EzCiclo ♻️ is the first 100% recyclable thermosetting resin system on the market. Composites manufactured with this system can be degraded by reactor treatment and by means of temperature, and the aid of the degradation agent, CleaVER, also provided by Global Composites.
The main concept of this union is to manage this type of end-of-life products and the discarded GRP to be fully recycled and reused. Main advantages:
– No additional residues
– Optimal fibre recovery
– No need to install new equipment and processes
– No loss of material properties after recycling
– Reduce carbon footprint to a minimum

What is the degradation process like?
To meet European sustainability standards, the degradation process of this 100% recyclable thermosetting resin system, with CleaVER, is as follows:
1. The GRP sample is placed in the reactor.
2. Once in the reactor, the CleaVER degradation agent is added, ensuring that the sample is completely submerged.
3. After some time, after heating the reactor, the GRP sample is taken out and it can be seen that the fibres can be easily separated by hand.
Thanks to the action of CleaVER in the reactor, the polymer chain of the composite is broken down, degraded and dissolved, so that the resulting products, a liquid oligomer and the fibres, can be separated for later reuse.
