In an industrial market that demands precision, sustainability and constant innovation, training is not an add-on — it is the fundamental pillar that upholds quality and competitiveness. For this reason, and with the firm purpose of training specialists and leading the future of the sector, Global Composites is opening the Training and Development Centre for Composite Materials.
The proposal from Global Composites is clear: advanced technical training with real practice, for real impact, aligned with the needs of the industry and focused on developing applied skills. Because in the world of composites, the margin for error is minimal and the demand for qualified talent is at its highest.
Why is training in composites more critical than in other sectors?
Here are five reasons to answer that question:
Because mistakes aren’t visible, but they are costly.
A misaligned fibre or an improperly cured resin can compromise the safety of the final result in a boat, a wind turbine blade or an automotive component.
Because there is no single manual.
Every process, every part and every combination of materials requires complex technical decisions. Structured training is the only way to understand and apply them correctly.
Because change is constant.
New fibres, sustainable resins, automation, simulation… What was learned five years ago may already be outdated. Only continuous training makes it possible to keep pace, and doing so in a training centre with real machinery can make all the difference.
Because it demands cross-disciplinary knowledge.
Chemistry, mechanics, design, sustainability, regulation… The composite materials technician is a multidisciplinary professional who can only be trained through an integrated approach.
Because there is a shortage of qualified professionals.
Demand exceeds supply. Companies need specialists now. High-quality training is a direct pathway to employment.
Real training, specialisation and industrial impact.
At Global Composites, the new Training and Development Centre for Composite Materials is a working space, a living laboratory, where theory and practice are integrated from day one:
Traditional and sustainable thermoset resins: Epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester, recyclable and bio-based. We don’t just teach which one to use, but why, how to cure it and what impact it has.
Comprehensive coverage of industrial processes: From wet lay-up to prepreg, including vacuum infusion, RTM, pultrusion and filament winding.
Sustainability as a standard: Mechanical, thermal and chemical recycling processes, carbon footprint analysis, and material selection based on life-cycle assessment.
Learning by doing: real machinery and tangible challenges
Our students work with real industrial equipment in controlled environments that simulate production conditions. No academic simulators — here, you learn the very processes already used in factories.
We have created a versatile space with three learning pathways:
Basic: For those wishing to enter the world of composites and understand the fundamentals.
By technique: Focused on mastering specific manufacturing processes and technologies.
Company-specific: Tailor-made programmes designed together with each organisation to address their real challenges and projects.
Real cases with applied solutions
Each course includes the analysis of real industry challenges, the design of applicable solutions, and the measurement of results. This way, what is learned can be applied on the production floor, in the technical office, or in R&D.
A teaching team that works where they teach
The trainers at the Global Composites Training and Development Centre for Composite Materials are not just instructors, they are engineers, technicians and active developers in the composites industry. They know the processes, the challenges and the solutions because they face them every day.
High theoretical level, but always applied.
Direct connection with the industrial sector.
Training focused on real professional skills.
Training designed to transform careers
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced professional, at Global Composites we design a training pathway that adapts to your profile and takes you to the next level.
If you are just starting out:
You gain a solid foundation in materials, processes and applications.
You learn by doing, from day one, in real environments.
You develop skills that open doors to technical employment.
If you are already a professional:
You update your knowledge in emerging technologies.
You deepen your expertise in sustainability, new materials and advanced systems.
You strengthen your profile for promotion and/or specialisation.
What competencies does this training enable?
The training carried out at the Global Composites Training and Development Centre for Composite Materials delivers real results, taking into account key competencies such as:
Competence
Direct application
Suitable resin selection
Structural and functional design
Execution of complete processes
Production of quality parts
Environmental impact analysis
Sustainable process optimisation
Mastery of key technologies
Adaptation to industrial lines
We collaborate closely with companies in the sector. We analyse real lines, products and processes. This allows us to connect our students with the real needs of the market. The result: training that turns into employment and promotion.
Global Composites, where knowledge writes the future
All participants who complete the course with regular attendance will receive:
Certificate of attendance with achievement, recognising active and satisfactory participation in the programme.
Detailed certificate of contents, which attests to the topics, processes and technologies covered during the training.
Furthermore, we collaborate with LABORA to promote joint training projects aimed at increasing specialisation and employability.
At Global Composites, we do not provide empty training. We show how to work with materials, their application, with real machinery and technical rigour, allowing students to face real industrial challenges, problems and even unexpected results. Because the future of the sector is being written now.
